Vanessa Spencer
Vanessa Spencer currently is the Director of the United Way of North Essex's TEAM program and Office Manager, Unity Church of Christ, Teaneck, NJ.
She has over 20 years of professional experience in human resources, employee relations, recruitment, hiring, and performance measurement in diverse business units. She has expertise in mentoring ages 8-21 in goal setting and discovering your strengths. She presents workshops on survival in the corporate and professional environment and on interviewing skills,
Vanessa Spencer was Project Coordinator/Board Member, Frank Silvera Writer's Workshop Foundatiion, NY. She has held various managerial positions with Lucent Technologies and Bell laboratories in the Human Resource area. She co-founded and administered P.A.C.E. Newark.
She is a graduate of Montclair High School and has a B.A. in Mass Communication/Journalism from Douglass College and an M.A. in Media Studies from New School University.
Vanessa Spencer has theater experience as a playwright, director, producer and sound designer. She plays the bass guitar for the Spiritual Voyage Church Band. She is a Reiki Master and is the mother of a 20 year old son.
